Three steps to move from fear into freedom

Hey  Luvs!

I love when I speak to those of you that reach out to me and  share your hopes , dreams, wishes and desires. Your encouragement, your support and your well wishes. Your hurt, sadness, feeling and feelings of hopelessness. What I'm saying is that whether good of bad I am here for you... But it is my desire to always help you try and get over those hurtful places in your life.... And move in to brighter and more successful days!

Life is not meant to be lived in a straight line, but it's not to be feared either . Some of us have been so hurt, that we shrink and become a shell of ourselves.

So here are three practical steps to move away from fear and into a place of freedom.

1. First.... Look at the worse case scenario of what could happen if you did the very thing you wanted most.... Example ... If the worse thing that happened is short of death could you live with that?  

Real talk: If I'm scared, I ask myself "Kim if you do this, will you die?!" Lol

Once I understand that the answer is no, then I put one foot in front of the other and before you know it.... FEAR IS A MEMORY!

2. Make it a game.....Once  you understand that your life  is not in present danger look at the goal ahead of you and take them step by step. If you are afraid at this point, remind yourself  that You made it to this point and keep  going to the next step.

3. Realize that you are almost to the finish line and the FEAR is no where to be found...

Most of us are afraid of how we will look to others, falling flat on our face, and not being perfect.... Well... People will look, you will fall, and possibly fall flat on your face, but you will not DIE!!!!

You see the thing about Fear is that it cannot exist without your permission ,and on the other side of FEAR IS FREEDOM!

Remember, whatever you desire to do, you are capable! Don't wait for fear to leave ..... It will never leave on it's own, so instead ask COUARAGE TO COME OVER !

I used to wonder if I was good enough, I used to smile on the outside, wondering if anyone could see behind what was really there. I used to think that constant joy was not in the cards for me. I used to feel rejected every time a relationship ended. I used to hate "her" because she was beautiful. I used to think that only good things were for everybody else.

I used to think.... WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME?"

Life is meant to be experienced at the highest level, and you no longer have to suffer in silence, or be frustrated.

I know that I am supposed to help you be the best you.

Why? Because you are just like me...You are HUMAN!

3 ways and 3 benefits to thinking positively!

Happy Monday!

So right now I am listening to a Live Webinar on How to take your Value and Monetize it! Its pretty cool, and anyone who knows me , knows that I love to learn, and more importantly I love to share. So this leads me to what I wanted to talk with you today. I recorded a video on yesterday about not letting your circumstances FOOL YOU!

There are things that we all go through that are there to simply make us stronger, they are obstacles and challenges, that is all. So I want to give you 3 ways to think with a positive or "RIGHT" Mind, and the benefits to it.... so here we go!

1.In any circumstance I want you to find some good in it(no matter how small). WRITE IT DOWN!!

The benefit to this is simple. The mind will automatically begin to look for solutions. Once you get in this mode, and build momentum, you will see your way clearly , and your brain will come up with creative ways to get you back where you need to be.

2.First thing in the morning..... begin to say self affirmations, close your eyes, and continue to say them untl you "FEEL" what it is that you are saying.

Now the benefit to this is first repetition, but  this allows for the information to sync in. But also I want you to incorporate FEELINGS...because our Feelings drive us as humans. They become the very thing that we ultimately believe. We need this heightened state of emotion to drive us to be convicted in the thing that we are saying. Example if you say over and over again

"I deserve a wonderful life" and you conjure up passion, and sincere emotions, your mind, heart, and body will make it so, It will take these instructions and look for opportunities to validate this statement!

3. Now do this everyday for at least 30 days..... form a habit. Remember negativity is a habit! So that means that positivity is too..... Trust me, its not always easy, but it can be done. I have done it for years, and it is a way of life for me. You cant always control your surroundings, but you can control your reaction!

So I hope these 3 steps help someone, but you have to take them seriously. They are just a start but do them, make them fun,and believe that it can be the catalyst to change the way you think!!!!

It is not there to stop you.... Remember, steps are made to be CLIMBED, not to stop you. . . .

Happy Thursday!

Wake up "Inspirational Corner"!!!(smile) I hope you all had a wonderful night, and I pray that you have an even brighter day. I am so glad to be up this morning to get another chance to speak with you. It is nothing more fun, and awesome than sharing conversation with interesting people. So as you go throughout your day, and as I post messages and articles, I love when you take time out of your day to speak with me! So feel free. . . .

So many of you always state how much I encourage you, and I just wanna say that you all encourage me  as well, more than you know. You give me a reason to keep going. Just a couple of months ago, I found myself at a very low point in my life, I was hurt, confused, and I thought it was over for me.

But there was something greater in store for me(Thank you Lord) and it involved you! You have no idea how my destiney has been attached to you, and I am so grateful that you are here as a part of my journey!

So never think that it is over for you..everything that you have gone through, will serve a purpose. It will help someone that needs it more than you know. No matter what you are currently facing, you will get through it, if you just believe that it will change,  that it will get better.... SO WAKE UP AND ENJOY YOUR DAY...BECAUSE I AM WAITING ON YOU LUV!!!

In 2006 The New Orleans Saints went to the Superbowl , but was defeated by the Chicago bears..but come find out what unorthodox method their coach used the following year that took their team along with +Willie Whitehead back to the Superbowl in 2010!

 I remember that year, and I was cheering for the Saints back in 2006, and Iit was such an upset, because they made such unprecedented strides to get there! But just as if, you have to continue to move forward, even if others around you give up! You have to keep pushing ...keep BELIEVING. Pull on the things that are your strengths and move forward with those. Sometimes in order to WIN..you have to be willing to do what others wont!

What A Real Man Looks Like!

 Happy Tuesday People!

I hope everyone is doing great! I have had a fantastic Labor day, eating, resting, and more eating!! LOL! Anyway, you all know I love to share my thoughts, opinions, and insights when it comes to inspiring, relationships, beauty, and Business( yeah, that pretty much covers it...LOL)

Anywhoo...One of the biggest things I love to speak about is RELATIONSHIPS, but not the same ol' HOW TO FIND A MAN" HOW TO FIND A WOMAN" bull... any of us can do that, and sometimes it's a hit or miss.  But...I do believe I can share some tips to make it easier if that is what you're looking for, but my inspiration is more inline with helping us understand one anther as MEN and WOMEN ,  and to be able to better appreciate one another.

 I often speak to lots of people when itcomes to relationships...so YES I have been writing a book, and its gonna be FUN and UPLIFTING, and I hope you all get something out of it. But the crazy thing is I wrote the book, because MEN WERE THANKING ME!

Men felt like I understood them, and that I could explain in insightful, yet humorous ways how they felt about things..... So MEN are the reason I took on this challenge(sorry Ladies)... But not to worry, you will gain major insight into what our Men need, want, and desire to have a fulfilled satisfying relationship with YOU! Also ...Ladies, I am going to break it down for them as well! You know I got you!! LOLOL...

 So anyway, my dear friend, Shawn Hill the Author of "The Single Black Woman's Guide To Dating"will be sharing with us WHAT A"REAL MAN" LOOKS LIKE on his radio show tonight. We will be getting the perspective from four Men, so clear your schedule tonight so you can listen to tonight's show...(9 pm eastern/8pm central)Should be quite interesting! WHAT IS YOUR SELF WORTH ANCHORED IN?

There is something to be said about a man that came over 2000 years ago that Humanity still talks about.. .It doesn't matter that you believe in him or not, that is not my concern. I understand that "Mankind" needs reason for most things that take place in his or her life, but I also realize that "REASON" does not stop anything or anyone from existing. I love the arrogance of Mankind sometime's, we actually believe that it is "OUR" belief that cause's all CREATION without any assistance. 

I suggest that is was the BELIEF of the Creator, that allowed us to exist. Even with our collective intelligent mind, we didn't not create anything that can stand the test of time. Everything that I have ever created, will one day wash away. But there is a LOVE that is unseen that will stand, even when the EARTH is no more, that LOVE saved us, gave us SALVATION, and the biggest tragedy in life is not the Poor soul who fails to become rich, or fails to live their dream, or find their true love, but the Truest tragedy in life is walking through life truly alone, not understanding who he or she is, through it's CREATOR! 
 
 So....I was talking to a couple of people yesterday asking for a little help. I was about to record a PODCAST to help give some practical daily tips to improve self esteem...something we all could use. So anyway, after talking to different folks I started thinking, the reason I believe in myself the way I do, has nothing to actually do with ME!(I know that sounds strange right?!)But just follow me for a sec...LOL

What I mean is this. . . . I don't pump myself up with positive affirmations everyday, that eventually will get old, and what do you have to anchor those affirmations in?

For some people it works , and others, they cant seem to really believe it! Affirmations alone will not do it, for people who really have issues with SELF WORTH. But, what I realized is, that I believe what GOD SAYS ABOUT ME!

I believe him when he says that I AM WONDERFULLY AND FEARFULLY MADE, that he took thought, and time when he made me. . . .

HE MEANT THAT FOR YOU TOO!

You see, I realize, that if the very spirit that gave me life said these things about me...it has to be TRUTH!

So now my affirmation has an anchor, it has something that it can be directed back to...that is TRUTH!

WHAT MY 90 YEAR OLD CLIENT TAUGHT ME ABOUT BEING WEALTHY!

Wow. . .It's Friday evening already, and I promised you all that I would get back with you today, so here I am!(smile). So most of you that have been following me for a while, are familiar with some of my life experience's, but for those of you who are not, let me catch you up!

When I was about 24 years old, I branched out into a World that I never thought I would ever be a part of... Now let me explain what I mean. I am a Southern girl from a small town in Alabama, where most of my community were Educators, Lawyers, Doctors, and so on, but I really never knew anyone in the arena I was about to embark on  . . The only thing I knew about "Money" was that you make it by working, and you keep it at a Bank. That was the amount of my "MONEY knowledge!(smile) 

Well, I moved to Atlanta Ga at the age of 20, and by all accounts was finding my way through the job market, and I could do anything in SALES becasue I was a people person, and I knew I could sale ANYTHING! LOL

So... one day, I was introduced to The Financial Market's by dialing the WRONG NUMBER(LOL) . Seriously! So...after speaking to a very astute, and humorous Gentleman, I found myself being asked to come to an interview, where they were looking for COMMODITIES BROKERS....WHAT?! WHAT IS THAT? I said to myself...LOL

Long story short, that day changed my life as I knew it, I started with the firm as the only BLACK FEMALE BROKER IN A SEA OF WHITE MALES! What the hell was I doing there? It must have been some kind of mistake, I often thought. But once I got over  my Fears and myself(it took about a year) I became one of the best Brokers thay had ever seen, and because of that, I had the company's top clients. Yes, my clients were Multi-millionaire's...but they were nothing like I thought they would be. You see, they all were usually Men, but they all were different. They were young, old, married, single, creative, smart, not so smart and so on. . . . so how did they become so damn WEALTHY?

Well, being that I established a relationship with my clients, that surpassed the scope of Money they took an interest in me. They knew that I was interested in learning, and they were more than happy to share with me. One of my favorite clients who I totally respected shared so much WISDOM with me, I had to take an ADVIL after our talks, because I couldn't believe being WEALTHY was so simple!

He would say...

"Kim.... you don't have to be smart to be wealthy, you don't have to even know how to speak to be wealthy..You just have to supply  something that others want , and they have to want more of it than you actually have!

 He was telling me...... TO GET WEALTHY ...THE DEMAND HAS TO BE LARGER THAN THE SUPPLY...and YOU BETTER BE THE ONE SUPPLYING!!

LOL. . .. wow. . .simple right!? I read all these books, on passion, and education and so on, and he said...

"Yes Kim, those things will make you happy, and help you find a job, and buy a home, but they wont necessarily make you RICH! Unfortunately if your passion does not meet a demand, you can starve to death. Kim...it doesn't matter what you supply, as long as people need it, it can be technical, creative, social, whatever.... stop thinking from what you have read, and listen to people who are actually wealthy...Here's 2 things he stated...

1. You must meet DEMAND(Demand has to be higher than supply if you are buying)
2. You MUST be the supplier(Supply must be lower than demand if you are buying)

Once I thought about it more and more, all of my clients that were obscenely Wealthy met demand with something that they supplied. One of my clients was wealthy from supplying Cow Manuer..Another supplying Staples. . . and so on. None of these guys were necessarily so SMART(Although I knew some that were smart).

But the lesson I learned(amongst many) was this. . . .

There are principles to becoming Rich, and Supply and Demand is one, and also to supply something that there will always be a need for! Example: toilet paper, people will always use, consume, and need more, regardless! 

That part of my life taught me more than I would have ever thought, and I thought it made sense to share. This was not something I read, these were from people I respected, and even though they were so much older, they respected  "ME" too. I guess life is funny like that.

 So I hope this gave a little insight , and who knows I may just have more to share. . . .

If your goal is to be Wealthy, understand that it is a mindset, and you have to be ready for it...any fool can get money, but if he doesn't know, or understand the principles, spiritually as well, he will lose it, and  he will never know what hit him....

DON'T LET FEAR STOP YOU FROM TRYING LOVE!

Happy Thursday LUV'S!

Wow. . .It is a beautiful sunny morning... and It's my Mom and Dad's Anniversary today. . .it is amazing to still see people together, and sharing their lives together. God is good! Maybe that's why I still believe in love. . . .I'm such a LOVE BUG!

But today I wanted to share with you something that I was afraid of years ago, and sometimes still am... I am so outgoing, and can have a conversation with anyone, and can talk about anything, but I was afraid to LOVE AND BE LOVED!(smile). Now don't get me wrong, I have been in relationships, and have been in love, but looking back, I never fully let myself GO!

 I hate to say that, especially to those I shared my life with, but what I mean is this: I was afraid that I would lose control, and no longer be myself. So with that being an issue, I never fully gave myself, and that is not fair, especially when there was no reason for it. I HAD BUILT THIS FEAR IN MY OWN HEAD!

So how do we move on from this? A good friendof mine has a Blog, and she discusses relationships as well., and +TAQUILA poses the question's of how does relationships change us? Do we get lost in them? That struck a nerve when I read that question, and I realized I was holding back, and it had nothing to do with my relationships at all. I finally got it, I saw Women in my inner circle sometimes lose themselves, they stopped doing what they loved to do, they lost that spark in their eyes, but they would say THEY WERE IN LOVE! What? I didn't want that if it meant I would lose my LIGHT!

But I was young, immature, and unwise to the ways of the world(LOL).... So I want to tell you today, don't be afraid to LOVE, don't be FEARFUL of ANYTHING GOOD! It is your mind playing Devil's advocate, and you deserve Love, Kindness, Prosperity, Health, and Good friends. Don't shy away from those things. that's what makes life worth living.

Now at the age of 40(Will be 41 tomorrow) I know to give my all, and let the chips fall where they may. God has my back, and  I am good with that, so pursue LOVE AND LIFE!

It is waiting on you. . .and so am I!

HOW THIS HOMELESS MAN BLESSED ME

I was Downtown Atlanta a couple of years ago walking to an appointment, and by all accounts I was dressed to impressed, because I was trying to make a good impression.(smile)

So anyway... as I got to the door, there was a Man who was sitting on the stairs outside of the building. He was obviously homeless, and he looked like he was desperately weak. This isn't uncommon when you walk downtown Atlanta, or any major city for that matter. But it was something in his eyes that said "Kim, stop and talk to him!"

So, I didn't want to be late, but in this moment in time, I wanted to help him with everything in me. So I stopped, spoke and told him, I was going in for a meeting, and when I finished I would be back....

So my meeting lasted for an hour, it went well, but I was still thinking about the Man on the steps. So I ran outside and he was gone.I felt guilt, but I was also relieved, because what could I really do for him? So I walked up 1 block, and I saw him at another corner. So I waived to him,I called to him, I tried anything I could to get his attention. He finally saw me, and I walked over to him, and before I could say anything... he said...

" YOU CAME BACK...YOU CAME BACK!"

After those words, I knew what he needed most, he needed to be noticed, to still feel valuable, to still feel like he mattered. Yes he was hungry, yes he needed shelter, and money, but he wanted someone to hear his story, and after sharing a Sprite and half a sandwich,two hours later I met an Man who had an interesting life, and who was father, a hard worker, at one time and a Man who fell from grace. He was no longer the HOMELESS MAN ON THE STREETS! He was me, if things went to bad....

There is nothing better about me from the next Woman or Man, we all are trying to make it, I don't care if we are on the top or the bottom. We all need to be validated just because we are here. I don't know where he is now, or if he is even still alive, but I never forgot the lessons he shared with me... No matter where we are in life.... God is with us, and all of his children need LOVE!

DON'T BE AFRAID OF NO!

When a person says "No" it could be because.....

1.The person does not have enough information in front of them to make a decision to say Yes.

2. Timing

or

3. They may not have the Authority to say"YES"(so find the person who does have it)

Either way...never fear the word "NO".

A "No" is always temporary.If you believe in something and are striving for something,"No" may be the indicator to go back to the drawing board.You may not be all the way there yet, but it is not designed to STOP YOU.

Only YOU" can stop yourself. As a Commodoties Broker early on, I heard "No" a least 99 times a day if not more! Real talk.... So it became a game for me

I didn't take it personally. I grew a thick skin. Now I know most people are not in a climate of being told No 99 times a day, but most of us only need 1 yes to make it. So don't get discouraged when you hear "NO"..because your YES IS SOON TO FOLLOW!

DIRTY LAUNDRY!

 DIRTY LAUNDRY!

How do we handle when Our Friend is doing well and we are not? Man...this is something most of us are probably uncomfortable dealing with, but if we tell the TRUTH. . .this is REAL!

It's hard when you have a friend or a sibbling who seems to be successful , and you are drowning! For those of you who are on top,  you may not understand this dynamic, but I will be honest with you, most of my life I have been pretty content, and most of my circle(friends and family) seemed to be doing the same, or even better. So it was not an issue for me then. I couldn't relate on how other's could "LOGICALLY" be jealous of someone that they were close to.

Well, let me be real...there have been times in my life, where I have fallen from Grace, and you fall so low sometimes, that anything someone does seems to be better than what you can do(at least thats how you see it). Their relationship is GREAT..yours is terrible! They are going on Vacations to Paris, you are eating Ramen noodles, they are constantly progressing in life, and you are constantly loosing at life.

All of a sudden, because you are so hurt,and devastated, you become angry, and you don't know why this is happening to you! You see the ones closest to you gettin' it...... Depression sets in, and you feel like your life is a MISTAKE!

All of your choices seem to be here to eat you alive! It is a bad thing, because it messes with your mind, and can corrupt the love that you have for people who love you, because you envy them!

I commend Kelly for doing this song.... this is some real stuff.

But you know what?! Once you stop feeling sorry for yourself, the tables will TURN. Once you see that life has its ups and downs for everyone, and that you will survive, you can come out if this mess.  sometimes we fail, because we are trying to be like others, or be who others think we should be. Once you become you, you will begin to SOAR. You will RISE!! 

 Take responsibility for your life choices..... and .... Just Be you LUV!

WELCOME THE SILENCE SO YOU CAN FINALLY HEAR YOUR VOICE!

 

 

I know how sometimes Silence can be so loud. We are constantly trying to keep busy, be with friends, and family, and be in relationships. Why? Because we are afraid of the SILENCE. We are afraid of our own voice, or lack of it. I know how it feels, when everyone leaves for the evening, and I retreat to my bed in tears, because now I have to face the thoughts in my own head. I am writing this to tell you that I understand, but there will be a time, very soon where you will welcome the SILENCE.

It is the most beautiful thing ever to finally hear yourself, to hear what you want, what YOU need, what makes YOU happy, what makes YOU feel good. I promise you, when you finally break that wall and believe that your voice is the only one that matters, you will see a strength that SuperMan himself knows NOTHING ABOUT!

I believe in you Luv, and I know you can Face it......

Believing things that scare us,keep us mentally sharp, spiritually aware, and physically on our toes!

When your MIND...BODY and SPIRIT work as one, it tells the World to get out of your way! They may be able to keep a physical body down for a while, but a Man or Woman who remains free in SPIRIT remains free to BELIEVE

I ALMOST GAVE UP!

NOTE TO DREAMERS AND ENTREPRENEUR'S:

I remember when I wanted to start a business, and I did my research, and I was so excited! But. . .there was one problem! I had no resources,and no one to help with this opportunity. So anyway, I prayed, every night, I even went to three of the closest people to me, and asked if they would like to be a part of it, they said YES, and I was soooo excited. After discussing the opportunity, they shortly lost interest(for whatever reasons), and I lost faith in myself. But it kept nagging at me, so I prayed one last time...I said

"GOD if this is not for me, please take this desire away and I will leave it alone".

So the next morning, I began to look for Investor's and "ANGELS"(they give money to startup's) and I saw a ton of them online, and I didn't know where to start, but through my tired eyes, I saw one Investor that looked like the REAL DEAL, so I emailed him.... after speaking to him for 10 minutes I knew he was serious(smile). So I met up with this Gentleman in Buckhead for lunch(He was Young, Rich, Jewish, and no nonsense), but he was the one!

I knew deep down, that he was my RESOURCE..... and HE INVESTED IN ME. He believed in me, because he said I believed in myself, and I was passionate, and he saw where he could make money(don't forget that part) LOL

The moral to the story is this..... BELIEVE YOU CAN DO IT... EVEN WHEN OTHER'S WALK AWAY. BELIEVE THAT YOUR PASSION AND DESIRE WILL FUEL YOU.....

I hope this inspires someone to keep going, even when you are on the train by yourself!
